At this time of year we normally focus our training on hills to build up strength and stamina. With this in mind, our November challenge is all about hills, hills & more hills. Whether it's multiple hill reps on a short hill (like our Hartridge Hills session) or a long hilly run, the benefits to your running at this time of year are often appreciated in the Spring with faster times.
Can the total elevation climbed by club members (running & walking) in the month of November reach 50,000 metres (164,000ft), which is the height of the Stratosphere above the Earth's surface? It's tough so we need some serious hill running.
How can you participate?
Please just record all of your runs (& walks) on Strava.
Also join the Lliswerry Runners "Club" on Strava.
For those not familiar with Strava, there are two ways that you can record your activities.
(1) Via your GPS watch (Garmin, Polar, Fitbit) linked to your Strava account
(2) On your mobile phone by recording directly to Strava.
We are hoping to get at least 100 members to participate as Strava's Club Leaderboard will show our progress weekly.
