We're getting ready for the 2020 Lliswerry 8.

We take absolute pride in making the Lliswerry 8 one of the most amazing, friendly races on the calendar. Our volunteers create the buzz. This year we've managed to obtain permission for the first & last mile to be closed roads. The loop is still on open roads so we absolutely insist on the NO HEADPHONES rule to keep you safe & other important rules to allow the race to continue in future years HERE.

A look back to last year:

It may have been a cold, breezy day but there were warm hearts & sizzling performances at last year's Lliswerry 8 Race on 27th January 2019.

Huge thanks to Sytner BMW Newport for providing an electic car as our lead vehicle. This was the flagship of our environmental improvements. Throughout the day, our amazing 150 volunteers completed a litter pick around the 8 miles of country lanes. They also collected all discarded plastic drinks bottles for recycling.

Lliswerry Runners' womens team came in first & our men's team came in second behind a very capable "Pontypridd Roadents" men's team. Well done to them & everyone who participated. There are no time limits on this race & our marshals stay to the end to cheer on everyone. Here's a link to the full set of results.
